The day started with breakaway sessions. I attended the first session which was entitled “Plug-in Must Haves” by Mr. Hans Koch. Basically, the session was all about plug-ins that can be used in WP.

These are the Seven Steps for Optimization:

  4. Tracking, Link Management, and Broadcasting
  5. Backup and Security
  6. Speed
  7. Design

The second session i attended is all about Customizing WordPress Blogs with Themes and Plug-ins by Mr. Jonas Roque, the creator of Facebuko.com which he copied from the popular Facebook. He discussed how he created Facebuko.com using WordPress. He recommended some useful plug-ins like NextGen Gallery, WP- PageNavi, WP e-Commerce and cForms.

The Third Session i attended is entitled “WordPress.org VS WordPress.com” by Mr. Jonel Uy. Basically, he discussed the foundational definitions of WP.org and WP.com, the PROS and CONS of both sites.

WordPress based sites:

2. gizmodo.com – tech blog

3. Teaser-Trailers.com- movie trailers

4. www.gov.ph – RP official gazzette

The day ended with a Question and Answer by Mr. Matt Mullenweg, the founder of WordPress and all the speakers.
