Grade 4 Stop Cyber Bullying Posters

“Cyberbullying” is when a child is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones.

Educating the kids about the consequences helps. Teaching them to respect others and to take a stand against bullying of all kinds helps too.

XS Parent Teacher Conference

Last July 16, 2010, we had our first Parent-Teacher Conference. We all know that it is extremely important to have good working relationships between parents and teachers. A parent is really the child’s first teacher and critical to student success is the involvement of their parents. It is critical that both parents and teachers know that the goals for the child are indeed shared goals, both teacher and parent want what is best for the student.

Around 10-15 parents came to me. They just want to meet their son’s computer teacher andasked the topics covered for the entire school year. They asked also if there will be keyboarding lessons because they wanted to practice their child already. I gave them the summary of the topics and told them if they have concerns about the subject, they can just write in their child’s HSCN. The PTC ended at around 3:30 pm. What a way to start the school year right!

Health is wealth…

Health is wealth states the old saying. Indeed, a proper well-being is one of the most precious possessions we can have in this world. It is a treasure we should always remember to protect and take good care of.

However, it’s quite ironic that some of us don’t really give this much attention in our lives. I have close friends who overwork themselves in the office. Some of them drink beer as if it’s water. I know people who had never broken sweat over exercise for the longest time. And no, I’m not counting myself out, for I’m also guilty of a few unhealthy habits that I consciously perpetuate.

I realized that i should start exercising and eating the right kind of food because i’m not getting any younger. So let’s make our life healthy!  : )

Arnion Choir @ 20

The Arnion Choir celebrates our 20 years of service. We are considered as the oldest pioneer choir existing in the parish today in terms of service and participation.

We involve ourselves in the liturgical services of the church leading the congregation to worship in the form of music. Aside from parish involvement the group strengthens the members through outreach programs, fund-raising activities and team building formation and camaraderie. Happy Anniversary Arnions!

First Day of School

“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”

~John Dewey

“Good morning, Mrs. Sison!”…  it’s nice to see and hear the students again. The smile and laughter of my students gives me energy and happiness inside my heart, even their giggling, never-ending stories and their non-stop sound of their voices. Some of them caught my attention, whether because of being participative with the discussion or reciting and the noisy boys. Typical boys who plays basketball or just simply running around the campus under the heat of the sun. Some went to the library or just hang around the canteen and stairs. Just by everyday interaction with the the students, a lot can be learned and shared and discovered.
